site blog # 14 michael harrell

Blog
http://www.winterrowd.com/fullscreen/?GameId=1
My favorite websites include; Addictinggames.com, Facebook.com, Saviochs.org and Youtube.com. My Favorite website that is particularly cool, although I am unaware of the name, is the maze game website where once you complete the game a scary picture pops up, scaring the player. It is very cool because it seems to make a transition to an entire different page extremely quick without the person directing the computer aware of its actions. The Design of a website can be appealing with colors that stick out, cool pictures, interesting font types, and certain info attached to the website. All of those components can make a website interesting, although with some websites like game sites the page where the game is show may not have to be interesting due to the players focus on the game. There are many interesting websites out on the internet and they are full of information. If I could make a website I would make a game website full of fun games that anyone could play. The site would be full of fun images, cool fonts, and fun games that may not be the most high tech, but definitely are the coolest around the internet. AMEN JESUS.

technology blog

Blog

I believe savio could survive without technology. We would have to write a lot more but it would work. We could substitute the computer with notebook paper, and the keyboard with a pen or pencil. We benefit from technology a lot yes, it saves a lot of resources, but it also costs a lot of money sometimes that schools dont have. We could benefit from getting rid of technology because we could improve our writing and build character. Without technology there would be a lot of complaining but we could eventually get over it, and without technology no one could play games during class, or listen to music, and there would be no need to block any websites or learn how to type or have computer classes. Without technology everything would be ok.

Michael Harrell Database Blog

Blog
Database-a comprehensive collection of related data organized for convenient access, generally in a computer.
You use a database when you want to have a large collection of information that you don’t want to write out. Such as the human genome which contains billions of characteristics and traits you could store all of that onto a computer. You may want to use one when storing information for charts or graphs, or even investments. You may encounter databases on the internet and at work. Databases, just like excel spreadsheets, are used everywhere everyday. They are used very often and are very consistent with organization. They are easy to use and not too hard to put together. A database is different from a spreadsheet because it is mainly made to store information unlike the spreadsheet which is used to store numbers and calculate interest, and loans, and such. But a database is more handy in storing just about anything and can be accessed by almost anyone and its not very hard to use. Although both the spreadsheet and the database are useful tools and both used in everyday life, I believe that the excel spreadsheet is much more useful and much easier to operate.

Dear Coach Lejeune,
How are you? I'd just like to inform you that I forgot to turn in my Romeo & Juliet packet and was wondering if I could make it up tommorow morning. I'd really appreciate it. Thank You.
Sincerely,
Michael Harrell

Dear *College Administrator of Westpoint*,
I really enjoyed talking to you about your school last Thursday, and would really enjoy to look further into your school. When would be a convenient time to come look at your school? What are all the requirements I need to attend your school? I was really interested in your scholarship program and would really like to look into it more. Thank you for your time once again.
Sincerely,
Michael Harrell

New Ipad
Ipad hits the shelves on Saturday, April 3rd and people have already lined up at the apple store at the domain in north Austin. Many people have already reserved their Ipad on March 27th so they could be one of the first to get it. The Lines and camping out people was so bad the store hired a security guard to monitor it all. I personally think the Ipad is pointless because it’s just a larger version of an itouch or iphone. It’s a lot different than a computer too so I actually don’t even see a purpose of it besides making a bigger itouch with a bigger screen and more memory. Strictly entertainment.

Google’s Profit and Revenue Rise, but Analysts Wanted More
Google is definitely the most used search engine on the internet, and its getting even more money with all the advertisements it hosts on its site. The amount of money they have made has risen by about 50% in a year, and still rising. Its incredible how fast the search engine works and I definitely believe that the increase in revenue is well deserved. I know google is the main search engine I use.

If I couldn’t live without one electronic device for an entire month it would probably be my phone. I can barely stand not having my phone during the school day, let alone an entire month. I’m obsessed with texting and have taken the nickname with my family & friends as “Dexter the Texter.” I would replace my phone with my computer because I can still talk to my friends on the computer and I can still play games. It’s just my phone is much more portable and has a much longer battery life than my computer and is easier to talk to people on. There are advantages and disadvantages to both but I’d say the phone still wins with its ability to make calls. I also enjoy listening to music while I ripstick In my yard. It’s a fun thing to do outside and enjoy the weather with but it also requires much talent because it is hard to balance on. I’d say it would definitely be hard to go without my phone for a month but I could replace it with my phone and a good old fashion ripstick in my yard while I watch the sun drop.

I couldn’t live without my Xbox 360. I do not believe I could survive a week without the sweet feeling when I slay someone on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It gives me a rush of energy every time I throw a grenade over a wall and then 10 marker pops up on my screen telling me I killed someone. Also who could forget the quick rush of adrenaline when your playing a game of search & destroy knowing you only have one life. The best feeling in the world is when you knife someone, and you survive. What I believe I would replace it with throwing rocks at trees. It seems to keep me entertained when I have nothing better to do. It seems to give me the same feeling as throwing a football and helps build upper body strength like the shot put. I still don’t think I would be able to replace it though. I don’t think I would last for a month without it. I would be depressed and bored for the entire month. In conclusion that is definitely the electronic device I would not be able to survive without for a month.

michael harrell-competition

Our business is a unique business, and have no competitors. For our line of work isnt about whos making money its about helping those kids being bullied. Our market is tough in the aspect of reaching our goal, as for competition not at all. It will be extremely hard to reach our goal for many reasons. One is getting the kids to actually listen to us. Knowing on a personal level how hard it is to connect with kids these days and actually get them to take you seriously. Another barrier from us to our goal is actually reaching all the kids around the country. It will be hard for such a small business to actually reach that many kids. Our company is definitely worth the investment. This Country is raising too many kids growing up with low self esteems and kids coming home crying daily because of bullying. This is a growing problem that needs to be fixed now, starting with children around the ages of 8. With this problem fixed we will help many sad kids, and definitely have more educated confident people in this world. Our business is here to help this world and will hopefully make a giant impact. Thats wh.y our product should be the one invested in

MICHAEL HARRELL

Michael Harrell

With this project I learned how to edit pictures with Inkscape and most of all use nodes to shape images from others. I used a circle to shape the 3 leafed clover in this picture and also learned how to write text in images and edit it like turning it and resizing it.

In this activity I learned how to put images on different layers and learn to edit images with gimp, and also make images look more realistic. With this I can now use it to edit pictures and cut things out on projects where I may not like everything in the picture.

My product

How my product helps others
Michael Harrell
“HUBB” helps many young teens to live without the fear of being bullied. Our business will go school to school with role models for young teens and talk about bullying and its terrible effects. Over 50% of all people in this world have admitted to being bullied at one time and it is not a good thing. Our goal is to help bring down that percentile and to help the children of the world. From personal experience I know that there are certain people I listen to better than others and someone I really listen to are my role models. Mainly athletes involved in the sports I play. It is our duty to find these role models and ask them to join us in our mission of stopping bullying and making the world a better and less fearful place. Students can go to school daily now without having to worry about losing their lunch money, or being called names. It would be a wonderful world and with these role models such as representatives from the University of Texas we can make it a better world. That is how “HUBB” will help the world and the people In it.
